Terrible app!

Barely worth writing a review on... No voice prompts unless you keep your phone on throughout the duration of the workout. So. Youre gonna lose a WHOLE lotta battery life. Even then the voice is soooo soft I can barely hear it. In fact, I cant say I can hear her at all. After that, the music comes back BLARING. So in order to use this app: no music can be played and the screen stays on the entire time. (YES, I followed the instructions to a T on how to make the voice prompts work) Doesnt keep track of my workouts. Says Ive only completed the first day. So each time I log into app I have to figure out which week/day Im on. Seriously. The app doesnt keep track. Basically- I open the app to see what I have to do, and then try to do it on my own because the app plays no role at all. And on days with tempo runs/intervals...that just doesnt work. Im getting a different app. One that works. I successfully completed the C25K app called get running and LOVED it. But they dont have a 10k version This one will be deleted after I complete my review. Dont wast your time.

I have to agree with JFergieFerg...this app does not deliver. They need to go through several more testing to make this app ready for primetime...save your money. Look elsewhere.

Great app to get fit with

I completed the Couch to 5K and have done several 5Ks during and after. When I was ready to move, I downloaded this one to get me to the next level. I like the guided workouts and the Constance voice is great. I can set the app and just forget about everything except doing my run.

Good, but...

Havent been able to save my distance for the last three weeks - the app complains about not being able to contact its servers. It really ought to be able to store that locally so it doesnt depend on the server. Also have issues with the voice prompts sometimes failing, even when the phone is unlocked. Wish these things would get fixed, but otherwise pretty good.

Good but frustrating app!

Inconsistency in ability to hear cues is frustrating! My phone is not on silent and volume is not too high or low! Needs to be fixed!

Not that reliable

1) shuts down on you if you use it with any other app, including Pandora. 2) the voice prompts only work if you are in the app and your phone is on the entire work out 3) the voice itself isnt even that loud The workouts are good though, if it doesnt shut down in the middle of you doing it. I was 2 minutes from being done with my cool down, app shuts down and looses the entire workout.

Voice prompts dont work

My wife and I used the 5k version. She wasnt able to get the voice prompts to work consistently, but somehow mine worked. Now on the 5k-10k program and the voice prompts only work at the beginning. I liked the 5k program, dissatisfied with this one so far.

Must have for beginners

Absolutely love it. Started off using the 5K app and ended up loving it so much I decided to bump it up to 10 K training. I am a 30 year old mother of 2 small children who would have never thought I could get into running and here I am doing it and loving it!! I look forward to my runs now. Crazy!!

Inconsistent Audio

Started with the C25K - loved it, but the audio cues stopped working part way through. Moved into this program and it has the same problem - audio cues dont work when running; neither do the vibration cues. Deal breaker for me. Might need to purchase a different program.

Love this app!

I did the couch to 5K app from the same company, and then got started on this one. So far so good. I think it is great how there are different things like speed training interspersed between various links of runs at various aids. And in person trainer is always the best, but I would say this is definitely second-best. I really liked the couch to 5K app also. I am no speed demon, but I can at least now finish a 5K without collapsing at the end :-)

Love this app

I already completed the couch to 5k, and am continuing with the 5-10k. I like the pace of the training. I also like the fact that it gives you the running pace and the walking pace.

Must have for recovering runners!

In college I ran club XC, but five years afterwards I was lucky to even make it off the sofa. This entire app series has really helped me rekindle my love for distance running!

Motivates me

Everyone has a unique way to get motivated to run. This is mine. I get mileage, route, time, pace, cues and get to hear my own music. It works for me!

I love the timer, the log, and that we can listen to music or podcasts at the same time!

I didnt know how good this app was until I bought another by mistake. This tracks your distance and is very informative and encouraging. Definitely the best.
